Howard is a corporate finance and investment professional experienced in M&A, private equity, mezzanine finance, and corporate development. Prior to joining Renaissance M&A, he worked in Toronto and Vancouver on buy and sell-side engagements for industrial, energy, technology, food, transportation, real estate development, and financial sector clients. Deal sizes he worked on typically ranged from 7 to 9 figures, and were as large as US$1 billion. He also brings the lens of a professional investor given his portfolio management experience of publicly-traded Canadian and U.S. equities. His ultimate goal is to put all his experience to work in helping business owners monetize their life’s work so they can create the legacies they have always envisioned for themselves and their families.
To make his city a better place, he is active in serving his community. Howard sits on the board of Working Gear Clothing Society, which provides work-related clothing to low income, unemployed men of the Lower Mainland returning to the workforce. He and his wife founded The Eyeglasses Project Association, which provides pro-bono eye exams and free, brand new, prescription eye glasses to disadvantaged families and underprivileged Vancouverites.
Howard double-majored in business administration and economics at Simon Fraser University, where he graduated with first class honors. He has held the CFA designation since 2007. To stay sharp, he lectures on the corporate finance and equity investments sections of the CFA exam preparation program at the University of British Columbia.
